Running the Amazing Race at Your Summer Camp
We recently held the Amazing Race and our summer camp and it was such a success! We've had so many parents tell us that we must run this event again next spring. That being said, we learned a lot along the way and found many ways to make life easier when planning this event. Here's what I learned about running an effective Amazing Race at camp, along with some tips to make your event unforgettable. Planning Makes Perfect: Variety is Key: Mix up the challenges! Include physical activities, mental puzzles, tasks that utilize hidden talents (think arts & crafts or musical skills), and challenges that require teamwork. Think Like a Camper: Design challenges that are fun and achievable for your age group. Consider incorporating classic camp activities with a twist.
